This training will include 50hr Peer Support Specialist Training: Core, a 20hr WRAP Training (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) and Certificate and a 5hr NCI+: Prevention Training (National Crisis Intervention Plus: Prevention) certificate, and NC State registration fee. Participants can improve their quality of life; achieving their own life goals and dreams with completing an additional 25hrs of continuing education via WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) and NCI+: Prevention (National Crisis Intervention Plus: Prevention) Certification Training. Skills from both of the provided trainings will aid in the battle against the Substance Use Disorder and Alcoholism; supporting those in recovery, improving rates of recovery, and equipping a marginalized population with the skills to obtain gainful employment in the human service field. Individuals living with mental health, substance use and/or intellectual/ developmental disability or medical issues and their loved ones and/or Peer Professional who want to create positive change in the way they or others feel or increasing their enjoyment & quality of life will benefit from these trainings as well.
